It is so important to spread awareness about what is happening to our? planet, to all the creatures living here; some of us are prospering - some are dying out. This is so fundamentally wrong, and against the natural order of things. As humans we need to be humane, for that is the definition of humanity. Look into the eyes of any animal - there is awareness there. I'LL FOLLOW THE MOON is a wonderful book about green sea turtles, proceeds go to charity organizations for turtles. God bless!

Thanks Susan for the great video! By making small changes such as the tips you provided, we can all make a big impact. For example, one of the issues? many people do not know about is organic cotton. If we all made the switch to organic cotton, it would stop over 456 million lbs of toxic chemicals from being sprayed in one year alone. I bought a book on how to make my own cleaning products from things in the pantry, ingredients like baking soda, lemon & vinegar. which apart from just saving money also means not having to worry about chemicals or animal testing. Taking the bus/walking, using a washing line instead of a dryer, re-using things and buying second hand are all really good ways to save money and? help the planet. I also try growing my own herbs in pots to spend less at supermarkets. Im not rich either :)

I'm a full time college student who works graveyard shifts for minimum wage. Unplugging my electronics at night and when I go out saves me tons on my electricity bill. Local produce at farmer's markets is cheap compared to the stuff in the store (and good for you!). I buy all my clothes at thrift stores (not only are they cheap, but you often find a lot of cool vintage stuff). I'm totally broke, but living "green" saves me hundreds of dollars a year. Don't make? excuses.
